ScholarVMG was born out of the collaborative efforts of its founders and CEO's, music and creative artists, Adrienne ‘Mala Reignz’ Malave and Justin ‘J30’ Thomas out of their struggles in an economy where many of the leading record labels either conglomerated or are now defunct, it was difficult to find a consistent platform to support their art. The only true option was to create something of their own. Mala having Scholar Music - her own indie music company which she had been operating and releasing music under for several years; and J30 having Vision Music Group - his indie music production company having produced some of Hip-Hop's biggest music superstars - under each of their respective belts, decided to join forces creating the music and entertainment powerhouse known as ScholarVMG.
